Welcome!

My name is Katy Pflaum.

I am a senior at the University of Oregon majoring in public relations and electronic media with a minor in communications. I feel like I have been tiptoeing the edge of the blogging world for awhile, as I have my own personal blog but rarely use it. I hope to one day take the leap and make more time for it.

My purpose for this blog is to spotlight nonprofit organizations that I find inspiring, to show off people and organizations that are making a difference in this world. 

I want to give people the opportunity to learn more about social injustices and get involved.
I also want to learn more about nonprofit PR and expand my knowledge of the industry.

I have volunteered all my life, am fairly well traveled for a college student and continue to long for seeing the world, especially to help places in need.

I am passionate about loving on people and building relationships. 

I have a desire for change.

These two things together have given me the drive to want to learn more about nonprofits and where I want to get involved. And what good is this knowledge if I don't share it.
